Veya is operated by Try Veya (ABN: 24 951 837 235), trading as Try Veya, reachable at info@tryveya.net. References to "Veya", "we", "us", or "our" in this policy refer to Try Veya. References to "you" or "your" refer to anyone who uses the Veya web application at tryveya.net.

2. What information we collect

Information you provide directly

• Profiles and measurements – names you give profiles (e.g. "Mum", "Me") and body measurements such as chest, waist, hips, and inseam.
• Email address – only if you choose to sign in to sync your data across devices. We use a passwordless, link-based sign-in flow; we never store a password.
• Saved items ("Loved") – product URLs and the profile you associate them with.
• Brand requests – if you email us to request a brand, we receive your message via your email client.
• "Notify me" email – if you submit your email to be notified of new brands, we store it for that purpose only.

Information collected automatically

• Usage data – pages visited, features used, and basic device and browser information (e.g. screen size, browser type). This is collected via Google Analytics, which may set cookies and collect your IP address and approximate location. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
• Cookies and local storage – we use browser storage to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. Google Analytics also sets cookies for analytics purposes. We do not use advertising cookies.

3. How we use your information

• To provide sizing recommendations matched to brand-specific size charts.
• To sync your profiles and measurements across devices when you are signed in.
• To notify you about new brands and features, if you opted in.
• To understand how the app is used and improve it.
• To respond to your support or brand-request emails.

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not build advertising profiles.

4. Where your data lives

If you are not signed in: all profiles, measurements, and saved items are stored locally in your browser. They never leave your device unless you explicitly export them. Clearing your browser data will delete them.

If you are signed in: your data is also stored on our servers so it can be restored and used across devices. We use reputable cloud infrastructure providers and take reasonable steps to keep your data secure.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers – third-party vendors (e.g. cloud hosting, email delivery) who process data on our behalf and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
• Legal requirements – if required by law, court order, or to protect our rights or the safety of users.
• Business transfer – in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred. We will notify you if this happens.

6. Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can export your data or reset the app at any time from the Home screen. If you would like your signed-in account data deleted, email us at info@tryveya.net and we will remove it promptly.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under applicable privacy law, including the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@tryveya.net.

For users in Australia, this policy is consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). For users in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, we process your data on the basis of legitimate interest and, where applicable, your consent.

8. Children's privacy

Veya allows parents and guardians to create profiles for children of all ages, including babies and minors. We collect body measurements for these profiles solely to provide sizing recommendations. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without parental involvement. Parents and guardians are responsible for managing their children's profiles. If you believe a child's data has been collected without appropriate consent, contact us at info@tryveya.net and we will delete it promptly.

9. Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use Veya. Google Analytics collects information such as how often you visit, which pages you view, and general location derived from your IP address. This data is aggregated and used only to improve the app.

Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish users. The data collected is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. To opt out, install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

We do not use advertising cookies or pass your data to Google for advertising purposes.

10. Third-party links

Veya may display links to brand websites or product pages. Once you leave our app, this policy no longer applies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites.

11. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your data as best we can.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a revised "Last updated" date. For material changes, we will notify signed-in users by email.
